Enquiries and solar calculator

When you submit an enquiry, we store your name, email address, telephone number and postcode, together with the electricity consumption, roof, ownership and system details you provide. This includes your selections, calculation result, time of permission to contact you and processing status. Source and campaign information contained in the link you used is also stored with the enquiry.

We use these details to handle your enquiry, prepare an estimate or quotation and contact you about the requested project. The calculation is rule-based and indicative; using the calculator does not conclude a contract.

Website operation and recipients

This website is hosted through ChatGPT Sites by OpenAI on Cloudflare infrastructure. These technical service providers process connection and access data to deliver and secure the website. Submitted enquiries and their processing status are stored in a database provided by Cloudflare. Enquiry access in the internal area is restricted to authorised people.

The service providers use international infrastructure. Data processing is therefore not limited to Switzerland and may in particular involve the United States. Information about international processing and the safeguards described by the providers is available in their privacy notices linked below.

Browser storage and abuse prevention

When you change language in the solar calculator, your entries are temporarily saved in your browser’s session storage so that you do not need to enter them again. This copy is removed when read; drafts older than five minutes are not restored. A session cookie is used for login to the internal area.

To protect forms against automated bulk requests, the application stores a value derived from the IP address and an attempt counter. No plain-text IP address is stored in the application database for this check. No advertising pixels or external web analytics tools are embedded in the website itself.

Retention and your rights

Enquiry data is retained to handle your request and any subsequent project. An automatic deletion period for enquiries is not currently configured. Please contact us if you do not want further processing. Statutory retention requirements remain applicable.

You can contact info@novasolar.ch to request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate information or deletion, and withdraw permission to contact you for the future. We review requests under the applicable data protection law.

External links

Opening an external link, for example to Pronovo or WhatsApp, takes you away from this website. The respective provider’s privacy notice applies to processing on their service.
